About the Journal
The Latin American Journal of the Pope is a scientific publication of a six-monthly periodicity published by the Latin American Association of the Pope (ALAP). The journal publishes research, reflection, review and short communications articles on various thematic areas related to potato cultivation, written in Spanish, Portuguese and/or English. Contributions to the journal should be original and unpublished and should not be submitted simultaneously to other journals. The articles are reviewed by international double-blind external pairs. In addition, the journal publishes contributions that promote the dissemination of science in its sections of opinion articles that constitute a contribution to knowledge in the cultivation of potatoes.
The journal promotes permanent access to scientific and academic content with the aim of promoting accessibility, visibility and impact of scientific research in topics related to potato cultivation at national and international levels in the areas of biotechnology, genomics, physiology, nutrition and fertilization of crops, genetics and plantification, entomology, phytopathology, integrated phytoprotection, agroecology, macrobiome, geomatics, soils, water and irrigation, post-cohar and agro-industrialisation, rural and agricultural-enterprise development, agricultural and marketing economics and agricultural products.
